Looking ahead to our next round!

The historic Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit hosts the fifth round of Trackday Trophy in 2022. With its rich heritage and winding layout, Brands Hatch GP is a favourite for many of our TDT drivers and there’s a palpable buzz surrounding the paddock ahead of this summer visit.

The track offers significant and notorious challenges to test every driver, whether they’re a novice or racing veteran. The fast, undulating turn one – Paddock Hill Bend – sets the tone for what is a tricky lap. While it is a tough track to master, Brands Hatch GP’s blend of difficult corners and fast woodland straights makes the Kent circuit a thoroughly rewarding and joyous drive. It also offers competitors the chance to battle it out on the same tarmac as some of motorsport’s true greats, on a track that’s held in the highest regard by so many.

For an in-depth view of the GP circuit, read our ‘In Focus’ article here.

With the highly competitive action we’ve witnessed so far this season, combined with the fact we expect a bumper-grid to descend to Kent, there’s no reason to not believe that this race is going to be a cracker.

We had a new race winner last time out in Classes B (Turn 7) and D (Colin Wells) and we cannot wait to see if we see another new face takes the top step of the class podiums next weekend. Dubshack Motorsport have been continually strong in Class C all year and will be hoping to take their fourth class victory of 2022, however there are plenty of hungry rivals vying to take their crown.

You can recap all the action from this season so far via our Mid-Season Report here.
