Round Six Preview

19 September 2024

It’s almost time for MSV Trackday Trophy’s inaugural European round!

On Saturday 5 October, Circuito de Navarra will play host to the series’ first race on the continent since its inception in 2010 - for Round Six of the 2024 season.

Multiple classes of production and production-based saloon, hatchback and sports cars will compete for bespoke podium trophies, as they battle it out across a 45-minute pit-stop race. The series has produced a number of exhilarating races so far in 2024 and hopes will be for more of the same in Spain.

Amongst the entry is Paddock Performance Racing’s Michael Rawlings, who has displayed great pace this year, starting two races on the front row of the grid. The BMW 328i driver will now be looking to capitalise and record his first victory of the season.

Series veterans Jack Wright (Team Air Supply) and Charlie Palk (Unique Racing) will both be looking to challenge for the Class B win, as will Semprini Racing’s Jeremy Evans and Phil Hart. Both Evans and Hart have experience of Circuito de Navarra, having travelled to the Spanish venue for a track day earlier this year.

Read all about their experience here.

Also entered for the upcoming Round Six is Nathan Mcphail (MCS Racing) and Wayne Cockerill (Aindale Racing). Both drivers know what it takes to step on the class podiums and will be keen to be amongst the first Trackday Trophy drivers to do so at a venue outside of the UK.

It won’t be an easy feat for any of the afore-mentioned drivers though, with a number of other challengers also looking to etch their own names into the Trackday Trophy history books instead.

Following a series of improvement projects, Circuito de Navarra recently completed a multi-million-dollar redevelopment. Included in the upgrades was a circuit reconfiguration designed to enhance driver experience, which Trackday Trophy competitors will be amongst the first to race on.

Circuito de Navarra’s full circuit, comprised of seventeen corners and multiple straights, will be in operation for the meeting. The all-new turns 11 to 14 incorporate elevation changes to add a new dimension for competitors to contend with, while the amendments to Turn 6 improves both speed and smoothness.
