A MAIDEN VISIT TO CIRCUITO DE NAVARRA FOR SPONSORS MARKETING DELIVERY!

2024 marks the return of MSVT Racing to Europe, with both Trackday Trophy and Trackday Championship (TDC) visiting Circuito de Navarra in Spain for the sixth round of their respective seasons.

This will be a first-ever race on the continent for Trackday Trophy and a first for TDC since Zandvoort in 2019. The proposition has caused a stir in the MSVT Racing paddocks and preparations for some is already well underway.

Amongst those is Semprini Racing’s Jeremy Evans and Phil Hart, who already have their entry in for Round 6. Earlier this month, both Jeremy and Phil travelled to Spain for a track day at Circuito de Navarra to get a flavour of what to expect on October 5th.  

MSVT Racing caught up with Jeremy, Managing Director of both Trackday Trophy and TDC’s screen-top sponsor (Marketing Delivery), to find out what he thought of the circuit and what his advice would be to anyone considering going:

  • How did you find being out on track at Circuito de Navarra?

Really enjoyed the circuit – a nice flow to it. Great facilities (lunch buffet is excellent!) with self-serve fuel on site.

  • What were your first impressions of the circuit?

A good mix of corners and nice elevation changes, There will be something to suit the strength of each car and some areas to work around! There are corners where the overtaking / racing line is not necessarily the fastest line.

  • How did it compare to other circuits you’ve experienced before?

It’s always nice to drive a new circuit, I got into a rhythm here really quickly which isn’t always the case with a new circuit. There are elements that reminded me of Brands Hatch, others like Snetterton. 

  • Has it made you more excited for MSVT Racing’s trip to Navarra in October?

Yes, can’t wait now!!

  • Do you have any advice for fellow competitors about Circuito de Navarra?

You’ll regret it if you don’t do it, I think it will make for some great racing.

  • How did you find travelling to the circuit?

For speed the ferry is the best way – we’ve booked ours already! You can get a Ferry into Bilbao that arrives on the Thursday and leave via Santander on the Sunday.

We road-tripped this time so if you have the time to spend travelling down and back through France there are some lovely places to stay – Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Le Mans. 

Both Trackday Trophy and TDC’s race at Circuito de Navarra will take place on October 5, giving you the opportunity to race in two races on the same day!
