Round 2 - Event Preview

30 March 2026

Trackday Trophy returns on Sunday 12 April for the second round of the 2026 season and it’s the fantastic Silverstone Grand Prix circuit that awaits.

Competitors across three classes of production and production-based saloon, hatchback and sports cars will take to the grid at the current home of the British Grand Prix, in search of the three class podiums.

A race on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit is not one to be missed. Drivers will face a fast and technical challenge that rewards commitment, racecraft and consistency in equal measure.

Corners such as Copse, Maggotts and Becketts will all require precision and confidence, while it’ll be important for drivers to get Club and Aintree right to carry as much pace as possible down both the Hamilton and Wellington Straights.

Last year it was the Wolf Motorsport brothers of Luke and Chris Reade who triumphed around the Northamptonshire circuit in Class B, while Cameron McLean (CM Racing) and Ethan Lundy (Hills Motorsport) claimed the victories in Class C and D respectively.

Which drivers will seal the class wins this year? There’s not long until we find out!

The early entry for next Sunday will see Team Air Supply teammates Jack Wright and Matthew Allatt battle for the Class B podium, along with rivals such as: Aaron Mullarkey (FJ Racing), Michael Rawlings (Paddock Performance Racing) and last year’s runner-up David Zakrzewski (Dubshack Motorsport).

McLean will be looking to replicate last year’s success in Class C, but there are plenty who will be looking to challenge – including Snetterton class winner Wayne Cockerill (Aindale Racing), Harts Racing duo of Phil and Mark Hart, and Sarah Hobson (Hobson Racing) amongst others.

Chris Stone (Boreham Motorsport) will be hoping to follow up on Snetterton with another Class D podium finish, but will face the likes of BC Cars Motorsport’s Colin Wells, as well as Paddock/Cochrane (Misty Racing) and Andy Burton (Burton Power Racing).

A number of new faces will also be joining the grid for the first time at Silverstone and a warm Trackday Trophy welcome goes out to all.

Don’t miss out on your chance to race on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit by entering here.
