Race Preview: Donington Park National

19 August 2026

Trackday Trophy races back into action on Sunday 30th August around the Donington Park National Circuit!

The Leicestershire circuit is a staple addition to the series calendar, with its layout never failing to produce close and intense racing. Drivers will need to tackle the iconic Craner Curves before navigating the technical Old Hairpin, carrying as much speed as possible through Starkey’s and Schwantz on the run into the uphill section.

A competitive grid will no doubt see the #41 Dubshack BMW 328i of David Zakrewski looking to build on a strong performance last time out at a sunny Anglesey as he looks to take the Class B win. Victory however, will not be easy as the #3 Ginetta G20 of Martyn and Rob Adams makes its return to the series for the first time since their second place in class at Cadwell Park.

Class C will see Wayne Cockerill (#21) and fellow Celica driver Moss (#4) go head-to-head with a host of regularly front running Honda Civic Type Rs, including FJ Racing’s #26, Team Rebbieha #39, and Knockout Racing’s #93.

The Class D battle looks set for a Fiesta / MX-5 battle, with JSR’s #173 Jack Stewart carrying the momentum of his Anglesey. #60 Boreham Motorsport driver Chris Stone, #444 Project 29:7 pairing Andy and Jay Coombs, and #76 Hills Motorsports Peter Kenningham join the MX-5s, whole a returning Greenstar Racing #3 at the hands of James Burnham, joins #141 Adam Winyard, and the Rose Motorsport pair of Anna and Daniel Rose in the Fiestas.

The last Trackday Trophy visit to Donington saw Charlie Palk take the Class B win in the Unique Racing VW Scirocco, ahead of Michael Rawlings and Wright/Allatt. Wayne Cockerill took the Class C victory, while George Wright claimed Class D honours ahead of Steven Orant and Kalsi/Hills.

With plenty of familiar names returning and several drivers looking to build on recent results, Donington is set to provide another exciting round of Trackday Trophy action!

For this race the livestream will be available to watch on the MSVT Racing Youtube Channel!
