Cadwell Park - Event Preview

23 April 2026

Trackday Trophy is about to return to the circuit for the third round of the 2026 season, with Cadwell Park poised to welcome the series on Saturday 9 May.

This year has already provided a whole of host of excitement on circuit. There’s been plenty of action across the two opening races, with Trackday Trophy once again proving a popular and competitive platform for racers of all experience levels to compete.

Six different teams have already secured a class victory, meaning there’s yet to be a repeat class winner in 2026. Will that change at Cadwell Park? Only time will tell.

Aindale Racing’s Wayne Cockerill is amongst the early entry and will be hoping to become the first double class winner this year, but there will be plenty looking to stand in the Class C drivers’ way. This includes the Class C runner-up from last time out Trevor Hurrell (Team Wheelcare), alongside fellow Toyota Celica driver Sarah Hobson (Hobson Racing) amongst others.

The Boreham Motorsport (Midlands) father and son duo of Martyn and Rob Adams enjoyed plenty of success in Class D over the years and have made the step up to Class B for the 2026 season, now behind the wheel of a Ginetta G20. The pairing will be looking to make an impression in their new class, but will face stiff competition from the likes of FJ Racing’s Stuart Smith.

Elsewhere, BC Cars Motorsport’s Alister Esam will be looking for another strong performance in Class D. The Mazda MX-5 driver is no stranger to the podium and will be hoping to fend off the challenges posed by class rivals, including from those who will be making their first appearance of the year with the series at Cadwell Park.

Often dubbed the “Mini Nürburgring” for its narrow, undulating layout, Cadwell Park provides one of the most technical challenges on the calendar. Its fast direction changes, elevation shifts and iconic Mountain section reward precision and bravery in equal measure - making it a firm favourite among drivers and spectators alike.

It’s shaping up to be a fascinating day of racing around the Lincolnshire Wolds!
