The eBay MSVT Trackday Trophy series is back for its second race of the 2023 season on May 21st. A truly stunning circuit awaits competitors, Anglesey’s Trac Môn.
After a ten year absence, eBay MSVT Trackday Trophy made a spectacular return to the Welsh circuit in 2022 and Trac Môn provided a fantastic platform for racing. After a bustling race, it was the Dubshack Motorsport pairing of Rawlings/Zakrzewski that triumphed overall in their BMW E36. It’ll be fascinating to see who comes out on top of the class podiums this time out.
With its stunning location on the west coast of Anglesey, overlooking the Irish Sea and Snowdonia mountain range, Trac Môn is sure to stun all those in attendance – particularly first timers! It will provide the perfect backdrop for drivers to test themselves, and their machinery, to the very limits.
eBay MSVT Trackday Trophy will again be racing on the Coastal circuit configuration, which includes the popular, yet challenging, Corkscrew. The difficulty of the Corkscrew is attributed to the sharp change in both elevation and camber, but while it is tough to master, it’s an exceptional section of track and not one to be missed. Competitors will push their cars to the limits after they exit the 10% banked turn three, accelerating up through Church and School and into the tricky, winding Rocket and Peel. After exiting Peel, it’s time for competitors to descend through ‘Corkscrew’ and complete the lap.
The lap record for the Coastal Circuit currently stands at 1:01:741, set by Sylvester Mullins in 2009.
