The thirteenth consecutive season of Trackday Trophy is almost here! The aim in 2009 when creating Trackday Trophy was to create a series that was enjoyable for all concerned and we have no doubt that this season will continue in that same vein.
High anticipation surrounds April’s opening round on the Silverstone National circuit, with Trackday Trophy teams itching to get back out on the track after the Winter break. Unique Racing topped an exhilarating Silverstone race at last year’s opener, but will the team be able to replicate their success this year? A large grid, comprised of series novices and veterans, will all be contending for the class podiums and we expect an excellent race in Northamptonshire.
After it’s well-received return to the calendar last year, the stunning Anglesey coastal circuit will host the second round of the year, before attention turns to Snetterton 300 - a stalwart of the Trackday Trophy fixture list. A race on the popular Donington Park National circuit marks the start of the second half of the season, followed closely by a return to Oulton Park and a season finale in Kent on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.
We’re delighted to welcome a new screen-top sponsor to our series in 2023 - Marketing Delivery! To find out more about the new partnership between Marketing Delivery and Trackday Trophy, read our Meet The Sponsor article here.
Trackday Trophy will continue to run its established Qualifying, Race and Class Format in 2023, meaning that the opportunity to have two drivers in the team to share the cost (and excitement!) remains facilitated. Full details of format, classes and the current draft regulations can be found across the TDT website, alongside plenty of useful information for those getting started in the world of racing – such as our handy Scrutineering Guide.
A great number of differing teams picked up class trophies in 2022, with competitive racing, packed grids and great camaraderie being the theme of the year. We can’t wait for this to surely continue with this upcoming season.
